Why it matters

70% of primary school students are feeling moderate to low levels of hope.

One in four primary students are experiencing high levels of anxiety, depression or both.

By engaging in a clay based art project students learn to: express feelings, with or without word, think creatively and with an open mind, relax and find mental stillness in a busy world, discover that there is more than one right answer and build personal confidence.  There is not just one right way to make art, every child can feel pride in their artistic creations.
