How much are the art classes?

Art classes are billed on a 9 or 10 week term depending on the school term. The fee is $300 for a 10 week term for an individual student and if you have 2 or more children in art classes you qualify for the sibling discount which is  $250 for each child from the same family. The term fee secures your child's spot in the art class, it also includes all materials.

How long are the classes?

​Group term classes are 1 hour long. Holiday workshops are 2 hrs per day and can be either 2 or 3-days. 

What does my child bring to a lesson?

It is advisable for your child to have a snack before the art class and not bring food to the art classes. Each child should bring their own water bottle and wear a paint smock from home or one can be provided for them on request.

What times do your St Ives classes run?

THURSDAY  4.30 -5.30 pm (ages 5-8 yrs) 5.30 -6.30 pm (ages 8-12 yrs)
FRIDAY 4.00 -5.00 pm (ages 5-8 yrs) 5.00 -6.30 pm (ages 8-12 yrs)

What times do your ‘The Ponds’ classes run?

What sort of art do you teach?

There is something new to learn every week, with new mediums and techniques to explore. Mediums include drawing, acrylic painting, charcoal, watercolour, ink, mixed media, clay, soft pastel, oil pastels and more!

Do you do classes in the holidays?

Yes! The Purple Cow Art Studio provides a range of comprehensive holiday art classes for children aged 5 to 12 years. The holiday workshops run for either two or three days, with a 2 hr session each day. You can use the ‘Creative Kids Voucher’ (valued at $100) from Service NSW.

Do you do adult art classes?

Yes! The Purple Cow Art Studio provides adult ‘Paint and sip’ art classes. These classes are not for the fine artists, they are an introduction into using art to relax and unwind. The aim is to feel inspired while you joyfully express yourself through art. You will learn the fundamentals of painting and drawing techniques. All materials are provided. No previous experience is required. This is an ongoing program and you can join at any time depending on availability. Bring your own wine for a night of fun and laughs!​
